Integrated regional approaches for the transformation of the automotive industry
Drive2Transform aims to help businesses (especially small and medium-sized enterprises, or SMEs) navigate the changes brought about by the transformation of the automotive industry, with the ultimate goal of securing a dominant position for the European market. To achieve this ambitious goal, an interregional strategy based on cooperation will be used, allowing all participating regions to reap mutual benefits.
The cornerstone of this strategy is the Transnational Automotive Open Transformation Platform.
The platform includes:
(1) a transnational transformation readiness model,
(2) regional transformation scenarios for businesses,
(3) a portfolio of measures for building regional and transnational capacities,
(4) transnational use cases,
(5) strategies for business support organizations to provide targeted support to small and medium-sized enterprises.
The Drive2Transform partnership brings together eight Central European countries with a strong industrial background in the automotive industry, which have many years of experience in supporting entrepreneurship and in-depth knowledge of key regional players and their current challenges. The project addresses the following topics: electrification, connectivity, automation, and economics.
